EMKA extrudes profiles of various materials, both of EPDM, thermoplastics, PVC and profiles with metal lamination. It is also possible to join different materials such as thermoplastics and metals. Following the extrusion, adhesive tape, lubricant varnish as well as flocking can be applied fully automatically. The range is perfected by subsequent processing steps and further processing options

Winner of the German Innovation Award 2019: EMKA’s "eCamSafety" and "ePush Lock"

It is a great pleasure for the EMKA colleagues that two of our new products have been awarded the German Innovation Award 2019: “eCamSafety” and “ePush Lock”.

This award is given to products and solutions from all sectors of the industry, which differ above all in their focus on the user and their added enormous value compared to previous solutions of our market competitors. "The prize makes great achievements visible to a broad public and ensures successful positioning in the market," said the jury. The award was presented for the second time at the end of May as part of a festive gala at the Technology Museum in Berlin. More than 350 invited guests from business, politics and the media accepted the exclusive invitation. Clemens Mayer, Sales Manager for caravans and trailers, accepted the two prizes on behalf of EMKA.

"eCam Safety" and "ePush Lock" are the two winners from our company. eCam Safety is an electromechanical cam lock that is attached to machines and equipment worth protecting as well as inside caravan vehicles to protect doors and flaps from unauthorised persons. The system can be individually adapted to the customer's products. Depending on how he wants to control the lock electronically, it can be operated using an RFID card reader, PIN code, fingerprint or other methods. The ePush Lock is a solution without visible components on the outside of doors and flaps in the caravan area. A light push on the outside is enough to open it automatically. This is not only practical, but eye-catching, as inconvenient handles on doors and flaps should be a thing of the past.

EMKA at the Ironman in Hawaii
Triathlete Sabine Lischka successfully fought her way through the island's heat at the Ironman in Hawaii on October 12, 2019 and reached the finish line 59 minutes after 10 hours. For the athlete, who has been supported by EMKA for years, this means: A place among the top-20 in the hardest triathlon in the world!

The sister of EMKA engineer Thomas Dettmar carried the EMKA logo through the long distance world championship of triathletes over 3.8 km in the turbulent Pacific, 180 km on her bike and over the 42.2 km at the final marathon distance.

"I am happy and proud of my finish in less than 11 hours, a great time, which I was able to achieve despite obstacles in the preparation and difficult circumstances in the competition," she says directly after the competition into the microphones of the reporters. EMKA congratulates Sabine Lischka on this outstanding performance.

Sabine Lischka will start the new season as a professional triathlete next year. EMKA is looking forward to further top sporting performances.

Seydelmann sets high hygiene standards with EMKA

Appearance and preference are crucial factors in the food industry. However, in order to produce the right product, state-of-the-art machinery and a sterile working environment are critical. And there is no reason why hygiene and modern design cannot go hand in hand, as EMKA and the renowned food machinery manufacturer Seydelmann from Aalen, Germany recently have proven. From now on, EMKA will equip eight types of Seydelmann machines with several thousand hygiene quarter turns.
After testing the market in great detail, it turned out: To find someone to fulfil the many requirements mentioned was an easy decision for Seydelmann because EMKA and its newly developed hygiene quarter turns met all the specifications. The hygiene quarter turn proved to be the optimal solution in the area of price/performance, as the lock can be integrated into existing machines with little effort. EMKA has developed its hygiene quarter turn, especially for sensitive environments in which there is a high demand for cleanliness and sterility. So the quarter turn complies with protection class IP 69K. It is dustproof even at low vacuum in the housing (<= 20mbar) and waterproof from four spray directions. The stainless steel components are robust and easy to clean, and can withstand the jet of a high-pressure cleaner, for example, to enable efficient “cleaning in place”.
