Since the establishment of the company in 1939, the company J. Schneider Elektrotechnik GmbH has become with innovations and growth to one of the leading suppliers of industrial power supplies for Transformers, DC UPS systems, and HV Power Supplies.

Customer requirements are in the focus for the development of high quality products. If transformers for renewable energy, DC UPS systems, HV power supplies, the requirements on our products are various. We manufacture as well products in series as customer specified products:

High Voltage Power Supplies

J. Schneider is manufactur of High Voltage (HV) power supplies for high voltage and vacuum process applications.
The high-voltage power supplies are available for the output range from 1kW up to 120kW for output voltages of 150 V DC up to 150 kV DC. Plasma power supplies are available in the output voltage range from 400 V up to 2,5 kV as DC units and DC pulsed or bipolar.

DC UPS systems capacitor and battery based

2 in 1 solution:
DC-UPS systems (C-TEC with Ultra-capacitors and AKKUTEC for batteries) as energy storages are a 2 in 1 solution (power supply AC/DC and buffer). In case of an interruption of the power supply, the energy of the Ultracapacitors / batteries is released. The back-up time depends on the state of charge of the energy storage and on the discharge current.

Ultra Capacitor Voltage Stabilizer (UCVS)
The ideal solution for short-term power outages in your process. UCVS is a high performance and high efficiency system that ensures continuous power supply in industrial processes. It offers optimal protection against PQ of supply voltage. To ensure a continuous power supply in the event of power problems, the UCVS uses an energy storage / inverter system. As energy storage ultra capacitors are used. Ultra capacitors can buffer several seconds during power quality issues. Ultra capacitors have an extremely high power density and they are designed for a long life operation in a low maintenance solution. The UCVS need to be installed parallel to the load and supplies the load directly in case of voltage dips. The online system supplies the consumer continuously. Even in case of a power failure, the energy is available and the consumer has no interruption. Unlike conventional voltage stabilizers, the UCVS offers over seconds long solution, even with voltage dips of 0 volts.

AC or DC UPS?

To be protected against power failures, an uninterruptible power supply on AC or DC side is mandatory. The advantage of AC UPS systems is that this type is buffering all electrical consumers, eg. AC drives, etc. However, an AC UPS system is more expensive than a DC UPS system.

If the application allows to buffer only the 24V consumers in case of mains failures, a DC UPS provides a more economical solution.

On one hand no large capacities would be required and the dimensioning can be selected according the needs.

Also, the overall efficiency by using a DC UPS system is significantly better because a reconversion of the battery voltage into AC voltage and the repeated transformation in the required 24V DC voltage is not necessary. By using a DC UPS system the energy will be provided at where it is needed, namely, directly at the consumer without any "lossy indirections".
