EFEN GmbH founded in 1922 is specialist for safety interfaces in power distribution networks according to IEC/DIN standards. Our solutions distribute power, protect man and machine and also ensure smart grid operation.

EFEN´s Smart Grid Interfaces allow the convenient collection of data on site within the switchgear cabinet. Thanks to its compact design, the Smart Grid Interface can be retrofitted into any cabinet. Metering data can be transmitted conveniently via GSM modem. The system collects the data of various line outputs and optionally can be equipped with a graphic display to provide customized solutions for smart-grid operation. We are SMART GRID READY.

It was designed especially for a responsible use of the resource energy. The new mounting technique will set a new benchmark for assembling and mounting devices. Excellent electrical data (120 kA rated conditional short circuit current) makes it a unique product. A wide range of accessories, especially for controlling and measurement, offer a lot of possibilities.

NH Fuse-Switches horizontal design from size 000, the smallest currently available on the market, to size 3 are available at EFEN. All devices have the same installation depth and a perfect protection against accidental contact. The wide range of accessories offers all users a high level of possibilities for modification. Smart Grid Interface Module (SGIM) Comfort
All-in-one solution for more intelligence in power grids.

The requirements for energy distribution in terms of usage, functionality and structures are ever changing. Grid operators, industrial enterprises and facility management units are more and more depending on the continuous availability of measurement values and data regarding the loads on their distribution grids to ensure reliable operation. This data must be provided in nearly real-time so that control measures can be taken, especially at hot-spots such as local grid stations.

Meeting this challenge calls for tested and proven solutions: Simple assembly into existing systems without interruption of power, flexibility in terms of the number of measuring points as well as a hardware that can be handled without extensive prior training. With the Smart Grid Interface Module Comfort, EFEN has developed a modular system for the collection of electric and other physical parameters in distribution cabinets and wiring distributors.
