About us
The continuing education program in Solar Energy Engineering provides profound insights into the physics, technology and system design of solar cells and PV systems. It is a collaboration between University of Freiburg with excellent researchers at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE. The program is offered in the part-time and online learning format as a mixture of recorded e-lectures and online discussions. Additionally, a one-week on-campus event is held annually in September in Freiburg, providing the opportunity to personally meet lecturers and fellow students, as well as engage in hands-on training in Fraunhofer ISE’s labs.
The Solar Energy Engineering program is aimed primarily at people with a scientific or technical background who want to expand their knowledge and skills in the field of solar energy. Specialists as well as newcomers in the field of solar energy can gain in-depth background knowledge here. Teachers, researchers as well as committed young scientists can further specialize in the field.
