The quality of voltage in an electrical network is influenced by a variety of factors originating from both consumption and generation equipment. These factors are collectively referred to as system perturbations. They manifest in several forms, including harmonic and interharmonic voltages, flicker, rapid voltage changes, fluctuations affecting the sinusoidal waveform, and voltage unbalance.

The maximum permissible compatibility levels for these phenomena are defined and standardized in DIN EN 61000-2-4, “Compatibility levels for low-frequency conducted disturbances in industrial environments”. This standard forms the solid foundation on which we build — combining our expertise and our structured product portfolio to ensure your power supply operates reliably, safely, and in full compliance.

This page is designed to guide you:
from the observed disturbance or voltage phenomenon → to the appropriate power-quality tool → and finally to the right contact partner within our team.

OSKAR® – Active Three-Phase Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR)

OSKAR® is a highly dynamic, active three-phase voltage restoration system designed to stabilize industrial power networks and protect all applications that rely on absolutely disturbance-free supply conditions. The system continuously monitors the grid voltage and compensates deviations such as dips, swells, unbalance, or phase shifts in real time.

With its advanced power electronics, OSKAR® corrects the output voltage within milliseconds, ensuring that sensitive loads continue to operate without interruption even under severe voltage disturbances.

Key features:

  • High-dynamic voltage regulation: Fast and precise compensation of voltage dips and transient disturbances.

  • Stabilized magnitude and phase: Full control of the three-phase voltage waveform, even under heavy unbalance.

  • Modular and scalable: Power range can be expanded up to very high MVA ratings through simple module addition.

  • High efficiency: No large energy storage required, resulting in low losses and low maintenance costs.

  • Robust and fail-safe: Maintains nearly full short-circuit current capability and provides automatic bypass in case of faults.

Typical applications include semiconductor and pharmaceutical production, high-precision measurement and testing environments, hospitals, data centers, and all mission-critical industrial processes where stable voltage is absolutely essential.

OSKAR®

OSKARlinchen (Prototype) – Compact Low-Power Version Based on OSKAR Technology

OSKARlinchen brings the proven functionality of the OSKAR® system into a compact device designed for lower power ranges and decentralized applications. As a prototype, it follows the same objective as the full-scale system: providing effective protection of sensitive equipment against voltage disturbances and instability.

Key characteristics:

  • Compact design: Ideal for installations with limited space or where a full-sized DVR would be excessive.

  • DVR functionality for low-power loads: Active stabilization of voltage magnitude and phase for individual machines or small-scale sensitive equipment.

  • High dynamic response: Built on the same fast-acting control principles as the OSKAR® platform.

  • Wide application potential: Suitable for OEM integration, laboratories, test benches, or as a local protection solution for highly sensitive loads.

Final power ratings and configuration details will be provided as the prototype progresses toward commercialization.

GridClass®-Mod – Modular Filter and Compensation Systems for Broadband Power-Quality Improvement

GridClass®-Mod is a flexible, standardized modular system concept that combines various filtering, damping, and compensation technologies to achieve comprehensive improvement of grid power quality – from base-load operation to the suppression of high-frequency disturbances.

The modules can be used individually or in combination and cover a wide range of functions, from classic reactive-power compensation to the elimination of complex resonance conditions.

Functional highlights:

  • Broadband filtering: Effective against harmonics, supraharmonics, and grid resonances.

  • Modular architecture: Each module can be easily integrated, expanded, or replaced – ideal for switchgear builders and system integrators.

  • Innovative technology mix: Includes

    • SOFIA®-mod – intelligent filter modules,

    • RESI-mod – resonance elimination systems,

    • SIMΩN® – active damping and dynamic reactive current compensation,

    • CLASSIC-mod – proven classical compensation technology.

  • Plug-and-play integration: Standardized modules enable fast project planning, installation, and commissioning.

GridClass®-Mod is a future-proof solution for modern networks increasingly affected by non-linear loads, converter-based equipment, and decentralized energy production.
