The HTS has been designed to protect and monitor hermetically sealed transformers. The HTS is
also used for open type transformers.
Mounted on the transformer main tank, the HTS can be completely filled through an oil filler neck.
As soon as gases are generated, these are collected in the HTS and cause the float to descend.
This actuates a reed contact and triggers a signal.
In addition, the temperature of the insulating liquid is permanently monitored by a sensor.
